Adoption of the Pandemic Treaty is historic; compliance and accountability must now follow

The Pandemic Treaty adopted at WHA78 is a landmark achievement in global health. But adoption is just the first step. Preparing, preventing and responding to the next pandemic will require accountability by Member States towards their commitments.
Past experience shows voluntary reporting often fails, so building a framework that is effective, independent, and inclusive is critical. This framework can guide countries in translating commitments into measurable action and so that progress and accountability can be tracked transparently.
